Weekly milk prices monitoring — September 29
Purchase prices for milk continue increase. Higher grade and Grade 1 illustrated biggest growth.
This information is given by the analytical department of the Association of dairy producers of Ukraine.
According to the results of monitoring from September 27, the average price for extra grade milk is 6.39 UAH/kg, 0.06 UAH/kg more than it was last week. The highest price for this grade of milk was paid in Kharkiv region — 6.75 UAH/kg, and the lowest in Volyn region — 6.13 UAH/kg.
The higher grade milk (6.12 UAH/kg) shows the biggest growth. The maximum price for this grade was paid in Vinnitsa region — 6.51 UAH/kg, and the lowest in Kherson region — 5.80 UAH/kg.
Grade I milk also has changed its price to a higher rate, 0.04 UAH up — 6.00 UAH/kg. The maximum price for Grade I — 6.70 UAH — was paid in Kyiv region. The lowest price was paid in Lviv region — 5.70 UAH/kg.
Following the revival of dairy products world trade, milk prices also started to rise. Thus, the British Company First Milk announced the increase in the purchase price for raw milk up 2.6 cents per kilogram, Dutch FrieslandCampina — up 3 cents, and Arla Foods — up 2 cents.
