This information is given by the analytical department of the Association of milk producers of Ukraine.

According to the results of monitoring from October 18, the average price for extra grade milk is 7.21UAH/kg, which is 3,3% higher than last week. The highest price for this grade of milk was paid in Khmelnitsky region — 7.24 UAH/kg, and the lowest in Kherson region — 6.10 UAH/kg.

The higher grade milk changed its price to higher rate since previous week to 6.78 UAH/kg (about 2,7% more). The maximum price for this grade was paid in Kharkiv region — 7.56 UAH/kg, and the lowest in Chernivtsi region — 5.10 UAH/kg.

Grade I milk also has changed its price to a higher rate — 4% up — 5.86 UAH/kg. The maximum price for Grade I — 7 UAH/kg — was paid in Kyiv region, and the lowest — 5.70 UAH/kg in Lviv region.

We observe stabilization of the situation on the world market. Last Fonterra auction is the confirmation of it.

After falling trend of average price rate for dairy products in the previous auction it increased to 1.4%. Besides, cooperative declared shortening of the supply of dairy products for sale, because milk production fell almost 10% down. Such statements, arouse customers interest, so we should expect another boost of prices for dairy products during next auction.
