Vets have confiscated almost 43 tons of law-quality animal products
Over the last week the experts of State Veterinary Service in cooperation with the officers of veterinary police seized almost 43 tons of low-quality animal products. For this purpose, the veterinaries checked 240 companies across Ukraine. Four of them were suspended.
Measures to ensure stable epizootic situation and food security continued last week in all regions of Ukraine. Thus, mobile groups consisting of the State Veterinary Service professionals and veterinary police officers checked 240 units involved in the circulation of animal products. In addition, the employees of veterinary police in cooperation with the State Traffic Police Service checked 163 vehicles during the transportation of animal products.
In total, as a result of the inspections there were registered 157 violations and charged penalties for the amount of 21.3 thousand UAH. It was limited the circulation of 43 tons of animal products, the quality and safety of which were not supported by relevant documents.
Earlier, the Minister of the Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Mykola Prysyazhnyuk, repeatedly emphasized that the issue of quality and safety of food products coming to Ukraine is under his personal control.
