U.S. dairy export still recovers, import slows
In the first two months of 2017 U.S. exports of skimmed milk powder (SMP), whey powder and cheese were +17,5% in volume and +18,5 in value ($ 88 milion).
The U.S. exported 100.134 tons of SMP (+19%) and sales improved mainly to Mexico (+15%) and to China (+96% YoY).
Cheese imports were -24,4% in volume and -22,2% in value ($ 46 milion).
Cheese imports from Italy decreased by 15,7%.
