Ukrainian exporters to meet significant losses on increasing the customs duties by Russia – I.Shvaika
Ukrainian exporters of agricultural products may face significant losses in case of increasing of the import duties on Ukrainian commodities by the Russian Federation, but Ukraine is ready to answer the similar measures, declared Ihor Shvaika, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, on September 24.
As a reminder, Russia plans to raise the customs duties on commodities from Ukraine in 10-day period, if Ukraine starts the process of implementation of the Association Agreement with the EU, ratified by the Verkhovna Rada on September 16. According to the decree of the Government of Russia, the duties will cover meat, dairy and confectionery products, grains. The duties range vary within 5-15% of the customs value of exported commodities.
