Ukraine not to allow China to rent land – N.Prysyazhnyuk
Ukraine does not plan to allow to China to rent agricultural land areas in the country, declared Nikolai Prysyazhnyuk, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, on December 5.
According to him, in the current line of negotiations the parties were talking about financial cooperation between Ukraine and China. Ukraine takes some financial resources, but also takes obligations to supply certain volumes of agricultural products to China.
N.Prysyazhnyuk reminded that Ukraine already has permission for the supply of maize and soybeans to China. In addition, the Chinese market will also receive Ukrainian finished products, such as flakes.
The Minister of Agrarian Policy stressed that to date China also plans to make investments to reconstruction of the Ukrainian irrigation system. Ukraine expects to receive the credit of 2.5 bln USD at the annual interest rates of 6.5% for 15 years to realize the relevant works in Kherson oblast and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
