Ukraine exported 21 mln tonnes of grains — Ministry of Agrarian Policy
Since the beginning of 2012/13 MY, and as of May 7, Ukraine already supplied 21 mln tonnes of grains on foreign markets, an increase of 14.3% compared with the previous MY, declared the press-service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
In particular, in the reporting period maize exports totaled 12 mln tonnes, wheat — 6.56 mln tonnes (including milling wheat — 5.66 mln tonnes), barley — over 2 mln tonnes.
In April, Ukraine exported 1.5 mln tonnes of grains, including 1.23 mln tonnes of maize, 246.6 thsd tonnes of wheat.
