The demand for Ukrainian butter has increased
Generally, now many operators started to stockpile butter, believing the products will hardly be cheaper.
Therefore the prices ceased to fall on domestic market. Some producers, generally those having export contracts, even raised the prices.
The producers which have big orders from networks for packed butter do not wish to sell butter at cheap price either. It is not surprising if to consider that it is possible to sell packed butter of 72.5% fat content even to distributors at UAH 73-78/kg. The difference with prices for bulk products is huge and it explains the unwillingness of operators to trade in bulk product.
Despite some strengthening of prices on domestic market, external sales are more favourable all the same, especially for those who have possibility to export to the CIS.
Present prices for butter do not suit producers and they do not especially want to increase production even at the heat of milk production season.
