Сheese prices in Russia reached new record highs
Rates of production are growing on Russian market of cheeses. The prices are reconsidered almost every decade.
Belarusians also work actively. There are not enough the products even for sales on BUCE, all plants work under requests. The situation will probably become more complicated further.
Because of ruble devaluation, import becomes not interesting. «Grey» sales of European products through Belarus will be favorable not for all.
Even unique legal way for import of elite cheeses from Europe — Switzerland, will probably be closed also, as the country toughened sanctions against Russia.
Prices of Russian and Belarusian cheeses continue increasing. Traditional cheeses are already valued at RUB 250-275/kg, cheeses of well-known brands — at RUB 275-320/kg.
European cheeses somehow enter the Russian market, but only in small volumes which are valued at very high prices — RUB 475-490/kg for Edam and Maasdam. Prices for Tilsiter surprise a little, in the middle of November it is still offered at RUB 310-320/kg.
Despite inflation and decrease of demand, domestic cheese makers may get good profits, after all, there are practically no competitors on the market, and growth of prices promises big benefits.
