November 1, grain stocks decreased by 22% compared to last year — State Statistics Service
As of November 1, 2012, agricultural enterprises (except of small ones), and grain storage and processing enterprises in Ukraine stocked 23.1 mln tonnes of grains (including 8.2 mln tonnes of wheat, 2.5 mln tonnes of barley, 8.9 mln tonnes of maize, 0.5 mln tonnes of rye), a decrease of 22% compared to the same date in 2011, reported the State Statistics Service of Ukraine on November 14.
Directly agrarian companies stored 11 mln tonnes of grains (down 22%), including 4 mln tonnes of wheat, 1.7 mln tonnes of barley, 4 mln tonnes of maize, 0.2 mln tonnes of rye.
Grain storage and processing enterprises stored 10.3 mln tonnes of grains (down 22%), including directly grain storage enterprises — 7.7 mln tonnes (down 24%).
Besides, sunflower seeds storing volumes totaled 5.3 mln tonnes (down 11% compared to November 1, 2011). At the same time, directly agrarian enterprises (except of the small ones) stored 2.6 mln tonnes (down 12%). The enterprises, dealing with sunflower storing and processing — also 2.7 mln tonnes of the oilseed (down 9%).
