Nibulon exported nearly 3.1 mln tonnes of grains and oilseeds
Since the beginning of 2014/15 MY the agricultural holding Nibulon has exported more than 3.07 mln tonnes of grains and oilseeds, declared Konstantin Khmelnitsky, Deputy General Director on production issues, on March 31.
According to him, Egypt (26.7%), Saudi Arabia (11%), Spain (9.1%), Iran (7.4%), Pakistan (5.2%), and Bangladesh (4.7%) were the leading countries-importers of agricultural commodities from the company.
The general crop export structure of Nibulon includes corn — 37.8% of the volumes, wheat — 35.1%, barley — 16.7%, rapeseed — 8%, sorghum — 1.8%, and soybeans — 0.3%.
In the whole 2014/15 MY the holding plans to export 4 mln tonnes of grains and oilseeds.
In the current marketing year, China and Thailand became the new directions of crop exports from the company. The markets of China and Iran are considered as the prospective directions, said K.Khmelnitsky.
Also, he noted that Nibulon does not enter into forward contracts for grains and oilseeds of the harvest-2015, due to some negative experience of non-receipt funds on forward contracts.
As a reminder, in 2013/14 MY Nibulon was the company-leader in grain and oilseed exports from Ukraine with the index of over 4.5 mln tonnes.
