Nowadays, the Ministry of the Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine has prepared all the documents to start a new phase of subsidy payments for the young cattle keep. This year it is provided 152.3 million UAH. And due to this program it is forecasted to increase the cattle at the farm units by 304.6 thousand heads. This was announced by Mykola Prysyazhnyuk, the Minister of the Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

«Currently, the State has fully paid the young cattle keep compensations by applications received last year. However, it has already been signed all the documents for this year program. Then, the State will soon receive the applications from the farmers», Mykola Prysyazhnyuk mentioned.

He has informed that this year it is allocated 152.3 million UAH from the State Budget to provide payments for the young cattle keep.

«We forecast that this year program will stimulate the growth of cattle at the farm units by 304.6 thousand heads. We are ready to provide this program constantly since our task is to organize family farms and increase the marketability of milk among people», Mykola Prysyazhnyuk emphasized.

Like last year, the subsidy will be 250 UAH per three months of keep till it reaches 15 months old.

It should be mentioned that in May 2012, the Government introduced compensations for the young cattle keep. In general nearly 340 thousand farmers participated in this program in 2012.
