Milk Prices Monitoring
Price trends at the raw milk market changes from increasing to decreasing. It is reported by the analytical department of Dykun Company.
As of January 14, purchase prices for milk of the highest quality, according to the Assosiation of Dairy Producers of Ukraine (ADPU), fell by 0.9% and amounted to 4.64 UAH/kg. The highest prices were recorded in Volyn (5,00 UAH/kg), Mykolayiv and Sumy regions (4.90 UAH/kg).
Milk prices for extra-grade milk increased by 1.3% to 4.79 UAH/kg. The most expensive milk was bought in Zhytomyr and Kharkiv regions — 5.00 UAH/kg.
The prices for first grade milk also increased — by 1.3% and amounted 4.70 UAH/kg. The highest milk prices were recorded in Kherson (5.30 UAH/kg) and Volyn (5.00 UAH/kg) regions.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, milk prices for the second grade milk from private households, as of January 17, increased by 0.7% (3 392 UAH/t), and from agricultural enterprises — 0.6% (2 859 UAH/t).
In the short term there will be a seasonal trend to lower purchase prices for milk.
