In 2013/14 MY the shipment volumes of bulk cargoes from the Mariupol Sea Commercial Port may decline compared with the previous season, due to worsening of the political situation in eastern oblasts of Ukraine, declared Rodion Rybchinskiy, Head of business-projects department of APK-Inform Agency, on June 18 in Odessa during his speech at the international conference «Grain Forum — 2014».

At the same time, he noted that in April-June period of 2013/14 MY the share of bulk cargo shipments in the general structure of transshipment corresponds to the index for the same period of the previous season, and totaled nearly 3%.

Also, R.Rybchinskiy noted that the Odessa Commercial Sea Port remains the leader in shipments of bulk cargoes among the ports of Ukraine.

In the current season the share of the Odessa port in the general shipment volumes of the reporting cargoes will total over 50%, said the expert.
