In the coming years Ukraine to become the second largest country-exporter in terms of grain export volumes – L.Kozachenko
In the coming years Ukraine is quite capable to firmly occupy the second position in the world rating of countries-exporters of grains in terms of export volumes, declared Leonid Kozachenko, President of Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation, at the IV Ukrainian Grain Congress in Kiev on October 23.
According to him, the good harvest results of the current year give every reason to hope that in 2013/14 MY Ukraine will export nearly 30 mln tonnes of grains, which will make the country the second largest supplier of grains on the world market.
L.Kozachenko also forecasted that such position in the rating of countries-exporters of grains will not become one-time achievement of Ukraine. In the following 3-5 years Ukraine will steadily take the 2-3 position in the world at the reporting indicator, and in nearly 10 years the position of second largest exporter (in terms of grain volumes supplied on the world market) will be stable for Ukraine, said the President Ukrainian Grain Congress.
