In 2013 Ukraine to produce nearly 60 mln tonnes of grains — N.Prysiazhniuk
In the current year Ukraine will harvest nearly 60 mln tonnes of grain crops, announced Nikolai Prysiazhniuk, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, on October 16.
To date, agrarians already harvested grains throughout 82% of the planned areas, and produced over 46 mln tonnes of grains. In particular, Ukraine produced nearly 23 mln tonnes of wheat. Such volumes will completely meet the food needs of the country and exports. Generally, in the current year the average yield in Ukraine grew by 42%, he said.
