Farm Output Up 18 Per Cent So Far for 2013

 

Agricultural production is up 18.4 per cent for the first eleven months of 2013, worth US$250 billion.

Ministry estimates show both arable and livestock production is higher, with an overall annual forecast predicting a 12 per cent output lift on 2012. Cropping yield rose over 7 per cent, with livestock production almost 2 per cent higher. «One of the key objectives of the Agriculture Ministry is increasing of the volume of agricultural households. This contributes to both food security and increase incomes of individual farmers,» said Mykola Prysyazhnyuk, agriculture minister.
