It was held the Second International Scientific Conference «Bioenergy: bioenergy crops growing, production and use of biofuel» under the support of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine. The event took place at the Institute of Bioenergy Crops and Sugar Beet. The participants discussed all key issues of bioenergy development, including the legal framework, available resource potential, problems and prospects of the industry.

The event brought together leading bioenergy experts from Ukraine, Switzerland, Russia and international organizations. There were professionals from the Ministry of Agriculture, Academy of Sciences, scientists, heads of the biofuel crop cultivation and production enterprises, machinery or equipment for biofuel producers, breeding plants and botanical gardens, as well as businesses specialists, financial experts etc.
Olexandr Hryhorovych, the Head of the Department of Engineering and Technical Supply and Agricultural Engineering of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food also took part at the conference. He informed the participants about the main branches of the bioenergy development.
In general, the participants discussed issues related to the new varieties and technologies of bioenergy crops, biogas technology features and solid biofuels, bioethanol production from by -products of sugar processing and environmental aspects of bioenergy.
