Crimean agrarians already completed planting of early spring crops
Agrarians of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea (Ukraine) already completed planting of early spring crops, declared Valeriy Kravets, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of the Republic, on March 27.
He reported that agrarians of the region planted early spring crops throughout 130.2 thsd ha with the planned level of 92 thsd ha.
Due to the good weather conditions, availability of agricultural machinery and seeds, Crimean agrarians were able to significantly surpass their plan of spring planting works in the current spring, said the Minister.
According to V.Kravets, winter grains sprouted throughout the areas of 403.1 thsd ha from the planted areas of 433.1 thsd ha.
