Butter market in Ukraine is stable
Butter stocks of Ukraine operators proved to be not so big.
In summer, some producers preferred to produce packaged butter, instead of bulk product. And exporters were able to sell quite good volumes.
However, export remains rather good now. It actually influences pricing on internal market in many cases.
Kazakhstan helps Ukrainian vendors. Trade with it became a priority after stop of trade with Russia and Belarus.
Total September export of butter made about 1.15 thousand tonnes, which was an success in comparison with similar periods of last years.
Now stocks in Ukraine are estimated at about 10 000 tonnes (packaged and bulk). This volume is not sufficient for winter. Import will not help, as devaluation made it very expensive.
So, if current factors remain (high export and growth of milk price), prices of butter will increase, but growth will hardly happen soon and will probably not be essential.
