Belarus reduces export-floor prices

The Belorussian government decided to decline export-floor prices.

So, since March, 13 the indicatives have been fixed at: SMP – RUB 150/kg, WMP – RUB 170/kg, 72.5% butter – RUB 190/kg, 82.5% butter – RUB 210/kg, 45% cheese – RUB 260/kg, 50% cheese – RUB 265/kg, whey powder – free trade.

Reduction of prices will allow Belarusian producers to be more competitive on Russian market and to lower stocks.

At the same time some fixed prices still do not suit the market. These changes made the Belarusian indicatives closer to the world prices for commodity products.

It is said, authorities are ready to reduce the prices further if there is a diversification of sales markets.
