Belarus has adopted the doctrine of national food security till 2030
The government of Belarus by its order has approved the national doctrine of food security of the country till 2030, informed on Tuesday the press-service of the government.
In the document, in particular, it is planned to achieve the volume and structure of production of crop and livestock products that will allow to balance the supply and demand for major agricultural products, raw materials and food.
There is also a problem of effectiveness and break-even of agriculture with the planned growth of profitability of sales to 11−13% by 2030, the increase in the share of agricultural land used for organic production in the total area up to 3% by 2030. To saturate the domestic market with quality food products manufactured in Belarus it is necessary to provide a sufficient level of economic access to food for the population, the document says.
It is planned to achieve growth of real disposable income by 1.15 — 1.27 times by 2020, 1.14 — 1.24 times by 2030, and to achieve the optimal level of expenditure on food in the structure of consumer expenses of the population — up to 35% by 2020 and up to 33% by 2030.
There is also a task to increase the share of exports in the value of agricultural production, raw materials and food up to 40% by 2020 (relative to the average level for 2010 — 2015) and up to 45% by 2030.
It is planned to reduce the import component in the cost of production of agricultural products, raw materials and food up to 20−22% by 2020 and up to 18−20% by 2030, and to decrease the share of imported food products in the sales of trade organizations on the domestic market to 15% by 2020 and to 14% by 2030.
