In Ukraine it is held the State Support Programme of grants paying for young cattle heads keep and care. More than 287 thousand agrarians have to receive 244.7 million UAH of grants for 436 thousand young cattle heads keeping and maintaining. Currently, it has been paid 183.6 million UAH. This was announced by Mykola Prysyazhnyuk, the Minister of the Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

«Recently we have stable index increase in the animal agriculture. In particular, it is observed milk production increase, cattle heads and cattle of live weight sales to the processing factories augmentation. The grants from the State Budget for young cattle keep and care were a really efficient mechanism. As on November 1, 2012 more than 287 thousand agrarians have to receive 244.7 million UAH of grants for 436 thousand young cattle heads keeping and maintaining», Mykola Prysyazhnyuk mentioned. 
The Minister informed that as on November 16, 2012 it has been sent 183.6 million UAH to agrarians and in the nearest future it will be sent 61 million UAH. Mykola Prysyazhnyuk pointed out that grants for young cattle heads keep and care were not paid only one time; this was a long support programme for every agrarian who applied and indentified the young cattle.
«The animal agriculture is developing at last because the agrarians have received favourable terms. The agrarians are also interested in cattle identification, thus it is one of the condition to receive grant. As on November 16, 2012 it has been identified 590.3 thousand heads of young cattle aged up to 15 months on the farms», Mykola Prysyazhnyuk added.
